Suggested Reading
I'm looking for some good current military books with a bit of a story behinde them. I just got done reading two books that I highly recommend to anyone enjoying PR.
Roughneck Nine-One by Sgt. 1st Class Frank Antenori The Last True Story I'll Ever Tell - Can't remember the author Shooter - Gunnery Sgt. Jack Coughlin, USMC All three revolve around the soliders' tour in Iraq and aren't politically motivated either way. I'm not interested in books that are PRO / Against Bush, or the reasons why we went. But about the soliders experience. |

Who Dares Wins - Tony Geraghty
but the story is the true story of the SAS However, it is not contemporarised at all and for interest's sake : the Regiment bought a couple of thousand copies when it was published. ___ |

Yeah One Bullet Away and Generation Kill are fantastic reads. I'd add The Iraq War to that list, really good clinical look at the war without political BS.

Rainbow Six - Tom Clancy "The best thing in a terrorist mind is a 10 mm hollow point bullet." - R6
It may be fictious but it is an awesome book. Tom Clancy has also done many non-fiction novels on the Army, Marines, Navy, ect. |
![]() [KTA] is currently recruiting! Steven Colbert, when asked on his show what his Iq was replied with a very straight-forward answer, it was, " I know what my IQ is, I got an A, 95!"

coughlin's book has raised a bit of controversy in the USMC S/S crowd, it was a good read, but that makes me a bit skeptical when other snipers are claiming he's full o shit

Reality is what we take to be true. What we take to be true is what we believe. What we believe is based upon our perceptions. What we perceive depends upon what we look for. What we look for depends on what we think. What we think depends on what we perceive. What we perceive determines what we believe. What we believe determines what we take to be true. What we take to be true is our reality.
