So I Demolished the ASVAB
Got scores that ranged from 86 to 99. Military Entrance Score (AFQT): 92
I dont think I did as well on the PSAT though lol. Anyone else take the ASVAB? And is it possible to break 100? I cant bare to imagine a girl scored better than me on auto/shop... |

My plan is to definitely (try to) become an officer in the military, but I may enlist before college, too. | |

Do you know what you want to do after the millitary? If you want to work with computers see if you can get a degree first and then work with computers for the army or whoever. You would get great experience and you would easily be able to find work after you got out. If you like math than you could likely become a statistician. If you want to become an engineer you can do that as well. There is a great opportunity for someone as smart as you.
Personally though, I don't trust percentiles. According to the pact's me and a few of my friends scored in the 98th percentile overall and quite a few of us managed to get into the 100th percentile for math(we were all in the advanced math program but still). It's funny though, you mentioned that you didn't know what you were doing on the electronics test yet you still scored high. Same thing happened to me on the science portion of the ACT. Rather than actual science it was patter recognition in data and I felt completely lost. Low and behold though I scored a 28 on it if I remember correctly. |
