After a mysterious Dead Space teaser surfaced yesterday, what's reported to be Dead Space 3's logo and the game's first image surfaced today.

I havent had the chance to finish Deadspace 2 yet, but i would love to see Dante's Purgatory rather than another Deadspace title.

Still, im pretty psyched about this since DS was one of the few games to actually make me feel scared when playing it.

Damn man, I haven't even completed Dead Space 1, and they're already on 3.

i marathon-played 1 and 2. i usually hate horror games since i feel like i can't defend myself aggressivly, which would be my natural reaction. the condemned- and dead space series are the only horror games (i've played) that allow me to do that.

can't wait for this. man, so many good games coming out...

hmmm interesting, i quite liked deadspace 1and happend to glance at my steam library and noticed deadspace 2 there and i literally have no recollection of buying it must have been when i was drunk :/

DS2's ending was too Hollywoodish and left me with nothing more than "meh". As a game, DS2 was pretty interesting and gritty, but end part wasn't the best really. I could skip DS3 and never feel sorry about unrevealed secrets.

i find the lore about the markers filled with plot-holes, especially after reading the book, watching the animated series and the comic. but i'll play along.

Didn't think the Dead Space games were really that scary, but rather stressful. There's probably a blurry line somewhere between those 2 attributes, but I can't say the atmosphere was really that horrifying.

The whole dismemberment thing was fun and made for some intense encounters since you rally had to stay focused when the necros we're coming at you, kind of like the end of the water part in Amnesia. But killing millions of the things made the game get kind of stale as far as atmosphere went, while still fun in terms of gameplay so it kind of stopped being scary.

I didn't really get what the whole point of the story was though, other than a generic excuse for gameplay, and it already felt like they were dragging it in 2 so this will have to be real fresh.
