There probably is, and this chief was probably warning them it's time for a test soon, so they'd better shape up. Obviously one of them was having a bad day and had a bad attitude and got the rest to make a little coup and get this guy a "telling off".

Wastes of space, I hope they fail their next fitness test and get put on desk jobs.

I think the big issue is that there ARE no physical tests to stay on the force, only to get in.

If you are a dumbass but in a union its almost impossible to get fired.

In the case of police and being fat, they are union and know its hard to get fired and will get lazy and fat knowing that they wont lose the job and they still get paid to be a fat ass. So when someone calls you out on being fat and wants you to trim down or get fired, you just call up the union and complain who then will advocate on your behalf to the people who want you gone. The union wont allow rules that make you stay fit because the members who are fat wont like it, ect. The money is they want to get paid and dont want to change what they are doing because they are getting paid to be fat.

Unions can be good and bad, it just mucks up the system with more bureaucratic bullshit.
