it's coming here too. The news had a show on a player, Doom i think it was.
We just have had football and baseball and basketball for so long and with so much intensity around it gamers are not there as celebrities yet.
But when it happens I can say that I played with that guy back when PR was just a mod and not the world encompassing super game it is today.

Something like 87% of Koreans are really fiercly addicted to computer gaming. 50 year old housewives, grannies and granpas are intense gamers. It's sort of astounding really. And cause for hope; the more adults that get into gaming, the more game makers will tend to create games for a more mature audience. Less arcade style stuff for the brats...
