PR_SP_075_SE - Installer - Map Packs and more....

Right Ok, managed to get MP 8 up and running,I see all the maps in the list, like normal. I went and tried OP Archer first, CTD while loading ... Im gonna try the other levels see how they go. (CTD I think is only caused by crappy nvidia drivers...and I really dont want to upgrade them atm, they cause problems in PR.)

EDIT: Guys! I love each and every one of you, you people are amazing! I managed to get Airport to work and OMG the detail in the AI is just brilliant, When I first started I could have mistaken the behaviour for REAL PEOPLE Easily! I mean when I say detail I mean AI crouching at a flag and checking North, West, East and South detail. Another really cool thing is the commander, he is so damn organised! You guys spent alot of time coding these "Bots" and i appreciate that.

Good job lads! Im gonna enjoy this... you made my day.

Check that your pr.exe is not in the BF2 root folder and is in the pr folder.....
Some peeps have reported that this was the prob for whatever reason.

wow, hehe.. that's one happy customer there. yea we had good times during the final testing sessions aon airport as well, it's a good bloodbath.

and yea, the latest maps have the best gameplay for sure and we're redoing/ updating a couple of things for many of the already released maps for 0.8 as well. that should be good.

Well we do aim to please and I'm glad you like it... I have spent many a sleepless night trying to code the Ai and I think it's starting to come together at last.

But.... they don't always do as they should so you will find at times that they do stupid things.

There are a few stupid things, only certain maps. Mainly the maps where an aircraft carrier is involved, if you know what I mean...

EG: It was rather funny when I played Gulf Of Oman WAC.
The MEC got bored because USMC had not caped any of the flags - Whilst USMC where swimming to the shore (owned), I noticed from where I was standing (on the US carrier) the WHOLE MEC ARMY swimmng and attacking the Carrier! ROFL!

I love it also in this SP how you named all the AI/bots after the more special people of PR...

I think I saw cheeseman solo a cobra once, lol.

Yeah it didn't strike me as an SP problem but I don't play MP, I just renamed the normal "pr" folder to "pr_sp_07".

Well thats why it does not work... the PR folder needs to be intact and the pr_sp_07 folder is made by the installer... also the SP mod still uses files from the PR foder.

Follow the instuctions!!

If you had read the the first post you will see that not all maps need the new init.con's as they are already included in the maps.... only the ones that need to be changed are included in the init.con's pack

The first post indicates that mappack 7 is the only one that doesnt need changing. Something must have went wrong because the officer kit is not in the first slot on those maps (and a few others), its some other basic kit instead which I cant spawn with unless I'm squad leader. While the maps work fine, the whole squad leader required for a grenadier kit/whatever is in first slot irritates me.
