Why do choppers barrel roll sometimes?

Ok i get in wait for the chopper to get started up all the way then give it power to take off but instead my chopper does totally the opposite and barrel rolls killing my 3 passengers. I mean its just random i don't know what causes it does anyone?

You started to take control of the chopper too soon.

Manual people, manual.

Engine must have time to spool up when first piloting and will crash if pushed to full throttle without warm up.

he prolly rolled on the HUE. Listen, the Hue is bugged, i mean that even though the sound tells u that the engines are warmed up, u have to give it another 10 extra seconds before throttling up after the sound sounds like the engines are good to go. Capish?

Re: Why do choppers barrel roll sometimes?

You say you're waiting? Are you using a joystick throttle? If you are, make sure the throttle isn't completely flush with the base, because that's like applying the "S" key, which can cause you to tip. Push the throttle up until you're applying about 2-5% power (at most!) in-game.

If you're not using a throttle and you're just on a keyboard and mouse, just wait longer. The pitch of the rotors should change when the aircraft is ready to take off, you'll hear a deeper "thumpthumpthump" noise after about 25 seconds that then settles into the regular rotor sound - that's when you can start to apply power.

Ease the throttle up and don't be in a hurry to move the mouse/joystick until you've broken contact with the ground. Lift up and then correct any wobble, don't try to correct whilst you still have a wheel or skid touching the floor.

Hope that helps.

The Hue is bugged, I was flying one around in the Training mode, I took off and it was flying just fine, all of a sudden it jerked to the lower right and crashed...

by the sound of it its not his fault with engine spooling, sound more like nthe skid is glitched into the ground

just jiggle your chopper around before takeoff to make sure it aint glitched
