[Question] Why did the pistols get removed?
Ok, obviously a noobie question, but somthing Ive been wondering since I started playing PR. Why where the pistols removed from the majority of regular army classes? This thread can be locked after the questions been answerd, thanks.

In real life not many soldiers got pistols (at least thats what someone said, and im sure he knows a lot more about fighting then you do. Beacuse he invented it then he perfected it, then he put 2 of every animal on a boat and beat the shit out of them)

Most infantry soldiers don't get a sidearm in real life. In fact in some militaries regular infantry soldiers don't even get a chance fire one. Usually higher ranked officers are issued handguns as a sidearm.

IRL a pistol + ammunition is just more weight.
If you stick with your squad, there's no need for you to resort to your sidearm for defence. > if everyone is laying down fire, you'll have plenty of time to reload your primary sidearms aren't necessary since bf2 doesnt take into account how wieldy each weapon is - you can clear a room with a m9 as easily as g3 - one less reason to have sidearms. |

it's to make officer on officer CQB more fun
 nothing like it when you both run outta ammo going crazy on full auto around a rock and then the pistols come out |
