Oh, the mysterious ways the Bf2 engine works...

Recently a friend and I were screwing around on a training map, seeing what was to be seen, doing what could be done. We began to run out of bounds, set down a rally, and continue running. We kept this up for quite some time, until we were 800 + meters away from the "in-game" zone.

Anyways, this is what happened on the mini-map.

Note the bottom left corner of the screen. The rally we had placed was far north-east, way out of bounds. For some odd reason, the engine decided to place our rally location in the south-west.

Just a neat little oddity I found cool...

Meanwhile, a question to the devs. My friend and I found the JDAM "launcher", and were surprised by how easily it blew up (I guess it could be expected, considering its simply a BF2 artillery piece). It quickly respawned, but that still gave me a thought. My question is, by blowing up the JDAM piece, would the timer on the enemy team for the JDAM go back to zero? Or would absolutely nothing happen? Also, if one was to continuously blow up the JDAM piece (hypothetically, of course), would that mean that the enemy team could be rendered "JDAM-less"?

blowing up the JDAM would set the timer back to 0 since the only way we can do the timer is via blowing the cannon up.

I take it the training map allows you to set a rally with only 2 people ?

I die a little on the inside everytime I read someone misuse the word "hardcoded".

Photographic proof:

PR does a good job of covering them to avoid government conspiracies.

I knew I saw an artillary piece come out of nowhere one night I was playing Kashan! Everyone in the squad acted like I was high or something...
