Re: Recruiting: New Moderation Staff

I hereby apply for a MOD position.

I've been around for a while, post regularly, and I am experienced with the search function. At the moment I do quite a lot of weapon modelling for the community mods, and, as a result, spend quite a lot of time on the forums, staying up-to-date.

As far as I can remember, I have one warning only, for posting a Picard pic in a thread where some guy asked if the US Army used the M4A1, when the last two pages of the thread was full of people saying they don't.

Having been around for a while, I'd say I know about quite a few things that have been suggested before. I am polite, respectful and helpful (or at least I think I am - you be the judge). Ex-DEV KingofCamelot can confirm that I can use patience and formulate proper, polite posts and PMs (way back when he locked the Mk.1 Spam Thread I sent him a long plea by PM ) My English is pretty decent, and I do not have a habit of abusing powers.

So that's my application. Whether I'm worthy will be up to you.

EDIT: I'm a good spammer too, but only in the Spam Thread - thank you, Leky.

KP still is the number one hottie, noobs.

Lol, well didn't take long for that part to be needed

1. Joined mid Jan of 2006, but was mostly active on the tournament for the following year.
2. Well my cat understands me so thats vouches for my excellence no ?
3. Not with the new system, a couple of points in the old one (think it was fritz and irontaxi who gave them, mostly for newbie errors on my part)
4. I'm far from being an expert about all PR stuff like most applicants. But I like constructive discussions whatever the subject may be.
5. Well I could say anything really you couldn't much verify it, so I'll point to my previous experience on the HCO team during the tourney (C1 to C4)
6. A bit too much people around me might say

Well there's already some good and sound applicants in the posts above, but can't hurt to try.
Heck we could even get lucky and have to fight it out in an "applicant deathmatch" on some server
(or maybe thats how they get rid of the old R-Mods )

Re: Recruiting: New Moderation Staff

Hello.

I would like to use this opportunity to apply for the position as well.

I'm a member of this forum for almost a year (10 months), even though I stated to play a few months earlier.
I've never received any warnings, nor had any other issues with the forum staff.
I do visit the forums daily and usually check back every few hours.
A possible handicap some might see is my age. I'm 'only' 16 (will be turning 17 at the start of August).
I have no problems accepting authority, as I am a member of rank-driven teamplay community for almost 3 years.

Have a nice day

Turn 360 degrees and walk away is what you should do tbh.

That, and you could spray a broken garden hose farther than some of the weapons in the game. My tank's machine gun spray was so wide that I got out to check if it had been jammed with a banana.

Forum Alias: gclark03
Age: 15
Time to dedicate to moderation: At least two hours every day (I visit daily for the sake of browsing anyway)
Time playing PR: Since mid .5 - first map was Muttrah v1, in fact
Why Me?: I have been a forum lurker since the last weeks of .4 and a registered member since last November. I also possess proficiency with the English language, a talent with spelling and editing (important on an online forum, wouldn't you think?), and the discipline to carry out the task without abusing the corresponding powers.

I have been warned twice so far, to my knowledge. One of these warnings was quite unnecessary, in my opinion, but my opinion on the matter is insignificant. Both warnings were months ago, and I have had no further problems with the PR moderation staff to date; I generally adhere to any rules set before me, and there are few exceptions. As for my age, calendar years are an inaccurate way to gauge maturity. Whether you decide that I am ready for an R-MOD position is not under my control, but I'd like to stress that calendar years alone should not be the primary factor in deciding my worthiness for the task.

Re: Recruiting: New Moderation Staff

Hi
Im 18 years old and been viewing this forum for ages and joined in Jun 2006, so I think I know about most of the suggestions by now. I have worked as a moderator for different forums, everything from small clan forums to some bigger forums. I can check the forum from my school and I spend a lot of time on here after school. I will work this summer but I will still be able to check the forum from that work.

My first language is Swedish so my English grammar is not perfect but I have no problem understanding instructions etc.

PS. I never had any warning or any kind of problems with the moderators.
