Re: How many of you guys play PR SP

One of the main problems with SP bots is getting ammo imo. I've never seen a rifleman giving anyone anything. I've been healed, revived and repaired on the other hand. Whenever they are not in combat.

And i second that the AI acts quite unrealistic from time to time. You are in very good cover, noone could see you, shoot at an AI soldier, hit, but he turns around and instantly knows where you are, shoots at you and you are suppressed and forced to either spray and pray or retreat. Often. And on maps like fools road they can just see through the trees. You can be as well hidden as you want, they see you. even when you cant see them. Thats why i prefer playing maps like Jabal in SP, or city maps.

I forgot about ammo calls. I agree totally. In earlier PRSP versions, the enemy insurgents would throw ammo bags at you instead of shooting you sometimes. (I laughed and thought it was great) Part of the problem is the bag no longer provides ammo unless you throw it, but even when I tweaked the settings to get it to work like vanilla... They were more interested in attacking someone +500m away then they were in giving me ammo... or healing... or repairing. Well, if an engineer wanted a ride they would usually repair the vehicle and then stare at the pain to inspect it for scratches.

Unrealistic detection? How about playing Operation Ghost Train with bots. Advancing toward the Chinese base (alone, as the bots get distracted) takes forever with the new suppression effects.

I could have sworn that bots spawned on leader AND RP in PRSP 0.6, but now they seem to spawn on neither. I know leader spawn was removed from MP, but it should be put in SP since its the only way to get BF2 bots to crew a vehicle with you sometimes. I'll have to post about this in the SP forum, along with that RPs should give ammo... quickly.

I think they still spawn on SL. I dont often play as SL since i hate nothing more than all those stupid annoying commander orders i get every minute and i have to remove from the screen (i cant focus on fighting, its always "attack here" "attack there" "attack uncap"), and noone is listening to orders anyway in SP. However, i'm sure i saw soldiers appearing out of the nowhere in the battle, so i think SL spawn is still there.

And, while you're writing a post at the SP forums - when you spawn inside an APC and are the first one to spawn there (driver) and get out (no crewman), no AI will ever use this APC again for some reason.

I quickly noticed how the bots would focus solely on killing each other with not too great semi-auto fire. However, late in one round I got hit and without thinking about how the bots never respond I called for a medic. This is what I got instead.

Incidentally I got to fire a DMR in game for the first time in over a month, was pretty nice and now I can go back to playing medic online without ****** at my patients as much.

Bots are dumb sometimes, they always were even in vbf2.My personnel favorite is when all the engineers take out their wrench's and group around below a smoking chopper flying over head

The only thing I'd like to see bots able to do is run.Games can be painfully slow at times while the bots walk from main to the next CP,also getting them to spawn at forward spawn points would be nice too.

Never found a reason to, as I have a good internet connection. In My Experience, Single player in any battlefield game is always infinitely inferior to Multi.

Cant say I played it. Maybe one or twice trying to pilot a chopper or jet?

We who play these kinds of games are the first generation of war robot pilots.
Today we pilot a camera in 3D heaven.

Tomorrow...
