imo .6 basrah is WAY better than .5 basrah, but i think the return of a good USMC/US.A vs Insurgent AAS map is needed.

im thinking of a baghdad (US army), or fallujah city style(USMC) AAS map or another al basrah-style map.

US could keep at least one gunship and one fighter/bomber (civies and longer re-arm times will discourage rampant carpet bombing) and plenty of blackhawks of course

theres just something about US forces vs Ins that seems more appealing to lots players. maybe it's the commonality of such engagements (vs brits and ins) in the news?

yeah, i made another thread with the same opinion as the OP but with more detail

clearly this is a problem. you don't see hordes of people complaining about mestia, kashan, sunset city, ejod, etc.

There's too much movies and video games, where U.S. has the main role and being the 'good guys' with tons of super-tech stuff, while the 'bad guys' have AK47s, speak incomprehensible languages and 'threated the U.S.A.' with whatever they're doing.

Honestly I think Basrah is better than it EVER has been. Since this new patch the past few nights weve been having some AMAZING battles in Basrah. The map runs much smoother and the weapon tweaks for RPG's etc have made insurgent life a bit more balanced...There is nothing more intense than searching for caches and it has been silent for 10 mins to all of a sudden be ambushed by RPG and PKM fire. Ive also notice squads stick together much more. IT should remain the Brits in Basrah, Ive seen many liveleak and news clips exclusively featuring British campaigns in Basrah, I have rarely seen USMC, even though they also operate in the region.

Congratulations to all the guys who worked on PR this is by far the best release.

I have to disagree on this one. 90% of the games i play the game is all around the VC and insurgents all crowd around there.

Maybe its the server i play in because its a private one and some times only really organised teams go into the city to destroy cahche forcing th einsurgents to defend and the fight to be in the city.

Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.

I doubt we are going to see AAS insurgent maps from now on. We don't want the type of gameplay seen in AAS for the insurgents.

My only gripe with .6 basra is that most of the intense fighting happens at VCP. I would much rather it went back to facility. Tbh I think the VCP should be a non-cap this will force insurgents to guard there Ammo caches. In return brits should have half the tickets they currently do.

The capturable NVCP is indeed a very discussed point.

One change that we did to Insurgency to try to stop the initial rush to that CP is to already start the game with a revealed weapon cache location. This will hopefully give the british a direction at round start but also the insurgents something else to do instead of attacking the CP.
