Microsoft Hotfix solves problems with PR/Vista

I found this in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

This seems to be a solution for crashes of PR and some ohter games. You can request the hotfix here:

I installed the hotfix and now PR runs fine on my Windows Vista System (32 Bit)

Can someone confirm that this works?

If this does work, and even reduces the crash rate to once every 2 games, instead of once every round it will make the game 14x more enjoyable for me.

The biggest problem I had with Vista was the "there is a problem with your connection" and the "the connection to the server has been lost" every 20 minutes on a server.
