I am with everyone else. Needs of the many over the needs of the few.

Reminds me of a game on TG the other day. We had areally good team, except one person who insisted we were pansy's for not running into battle head on, or for sneaking around to place a rally point where it would hidden... I did LOL at him a lot

Other squadmember started to complain why don't I do what he asks and said to me that I am bad teamplayer. I got angry because I know I am a teamplayer. It was really an insult from him.

So I am asking... Is it better to help one guy and set yourself in danger as a squadleader or ignore and try to keep yourself alive so that your squadmembers can spawn on you and keep the pressure on? Which one is real teamplaying?

Squadleading is never easy task. You always get complains and it is always your fault if things doesn't go as they should go...
Are you kidding me? I just can't see the darn logic!?

Let us make a scenario, SL does not have officers kit: - No officers kit, no RP. No RP, squad can only spawn in at SL. The SL is now the MAIN priority to keep safe. Anything and everybody else can be sacrifised. SL has an officer kit and the wounded soldier was a medic: If the SL exposes himself to enemy fire and by a miracle manages to take the medic kit, revive and get back to safety - you now just limited your entire squads ability to go offensive.

What I mean by this is the following:
1) You could have been identified as an SL when you saved the other fellow. (Prime target)
2) The hostiles now know with certainty that there are two tangoes in that area, and one is a medic. (Another vital target to take out)
3) Now you both have to run around and hope that somebody drops a kit so you can change back, increasing the chance of getting you both killed.
4) If you can't find a kit, the squad now have no RP. No well placed RP means no "safe spawn point" while you take charge on the front.

Short summary: You did good. Don't let anybody else tell you otherwise. Leave the thinking to the SL, grunts follow orders.

Yes, that was the situation. I had officers kit and he was medic. So I would have to change my kit and then revive him.

Thank you for your replys! I knew I made right decision, but I just wanted to be sure.

Should have told him to respawn at the main!

I just can't believe someone can be that stupid, he would have a longer spawn time and never get them back for killing him - possibly losing the game in the process.

You did the right thing: as SL you have a vital role to play.... have 2 medics in the squad next time

What's French for "déjà vu"?

Phil Collins doesn't cut it around here

LOL Eggenberg. I'm guessing that the other medic was hiding behind the SL going "no WAY I'm gonna go around that corner" ... I know I would.

-I play medic alot and the only time I run into fire is when the SL is down, then I go all out. If it's just random gunfire I'll head out but not when there are grenades flying and I can hear bullets whizzing by. When I'm SL I rarely fire my rifle, instead staying back acting as Spawn point and spotting hostiles. Running into a firefight with pads is not the SL's job... And yeah, two medics in a squad helps alot since it sucks when you only have one medic and he gets shot.

It's probably better if you don't spawn as medic if you're a squad leader so the responsibility doesn't fall on your shoulders.

The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
