There will definitely be many situations where you want to move slowly, like in your example. The current walk speed is most certainly useful. I just feel it is not worth keeping when it means that there will no real sprint (sprint is currently more of a run) and no firing while moving any slower than a walking pace. Even so, now knowing there can be no difference between forward and strafing/backtracking speeds I do not like my idea as much. It is a damn shame there are so many restrictions on editing the basic game mechanics.

I don't get that because when you are sprinting from hitting shift (or double tapping forward) you cannot sprint backwards, or strafe sprint. So the sprint speed is independent which is why I suggested it should be sped up while retaining all the other goodness of the new slow speeds. But they don't like the idea so yeah, oh well, I got bigger things to worry about

I am fine with the new movement speeds (I just use vehicles more) but I wish you still brought your weapon down when running.
