Complicated...New guys getting turned off - Page 3

Realy , my piont was that the forums are too deep for the first timer.

So, Lets turn this around ...
Why is there only One ranked server showing up ?
Heck Ive got 10 bucks a month would anyone like to go in on a ranked server ?

PR doesn't have ranked servers in the vBF sense, they have servers ranked w/ ABR which doesn't work for me at the moment.
If you aren't finding a lot of servers in .5 make sure you have the filters set to: same mod - same version
unclick the ranked box
and I unclick the map size boxes too
There should be about 10-20 servers on .5 at least with 5 or 6 that always have people in them.

Yeah, the PR team already has videos of requesting kits, limited kits, etc. They should make new videos for 0.6 because it wouldn't be right to use a 0.5 video to show features in 0.6. Even though they kinda the same but different.

Yup , your right...
but under with ranked checked It did turn up one and the ABR thing is beyond me see'ing how I just played on it .. but Im new to this so OK !

ABR is a program that you can install that make the servers that run it remember your rank so you don't have to restart on the lowest rank every time you get in the server. IMO it's useless since no one notice the ranks in PR.

I deleted ABR in fit because I saw my HD filling up and when I went to DL again and the site didn't have it.

There is no Ranked servers for this mod ?
So, If I buy one I dont have to pay for it to be ranked?

I actually prefer it without the rank. For one thing you will always get awards and promotions in one game, which is cool and motivating and I found the whole BF2 rank thing a bit pointless towards the end. I only did it really for the unlocks and although it's cool to know all your stats like time played as classes etc. it's only a secondary thing really.

Ofc it would be kinda cool if commanders were auto ranked because of their position in a game and same for squad leaders, just so there is a real chain of command in the rank sense.
