IED vs C4
Which is more powerful?
Recently I've preferred going mechanic as the 3 C4's are guaranteed to take down an abrams as opposed to the 2 IED's the insurgent gets. I'd also like to blow my own trumpet here and say I just destroyed 5 abrams, 2 APC's and 2 Hummers all in one round. |

I always thought they were identical.
If I'm going jihading or bridge camping, I'll take mechanic. If you don't drop C4s on the hood of your jihad car before heading out, you're really missing something special. I don't think you can even take out tanks without doing that. If I'm camping IEDs in the city, I'll go insurgent so that I can get to a unique lookout spot they'd never expect (usually a balcony). Then I also get a molotov to toss at any infantry moving around below me. |

But have you destroyed 2 BHs and an A-10?
I thought mechanics used IEDs too. |

And I don't do anti-air. A couple of times today when using the jihad truck AND putting a couple of IED's on it I'd explode next to a tank and it wouldn't destroy it, does it just depend on where you connect with the tank? | |

There are different versions of IED's
Improvised Explosive Device: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Improvi...plosive_device http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/intro/ied.htm C4: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C-4_(explosive) http://www.globalsecurity.org/milita...ns/m112-c4.htm http://science.howstuffworks.com/c-42.htm |

I'm pretty sure the Mechanic uses IED's as well. I know the IED model is a C4 pack, but still.

does it matter where you place the C4 or IEDs? Does the tank take more dmg when placed behind? Or does this rule only apply to projectiles?
I took out 6x A-10, 4x cobras, 2x BH and 1x tank. in one round, but i used tank not IEDs, and we only had 6 vs 6. Does that count ;D |

IED's disappear, i think. Meaning you can put them on a road and no one will see them until they blow.
C4 from a mechanic is visible, making it more difficult to set traps for tanks and such. |
