How do you get a TKers, GUID

Ok simple question. I came across a real TKing idiot on a Thors server. I got his Nickname and PID number associated with his account.

But apparently i need his GUID for admins to act. Sorry to be dumb, but where, how and what is the GUID?

I've never asked for a ban before, but if you look at the dudes accounts he is a TKing terd, (check stats) and i really dont want to met him in PR again.

you have to be an admin to get the GUID's from the players. unless im wrong.

or can it be done retrospectively?, there was no Admin at the time, but the 4 punished TK kick worked a treat.

I had a look at his account.. had something like 28 server kicks from vBF2 servers in April alone. I think he is looking for more hunting grounds, we dont want him in PR. Beware.

well i dunno all too much but i know this, GUID is graphical unique identifier, and identifies the game cd running in your computer = perm ban on GUID means tard needs to buy a new game

next, i am quite sure only a server admin can get any player´s guid by typing

pb_plist

on the console. Only the LAST 8 NUMBER are relevant (!), what´s before is to be ignored. You can get your own GUID by typing

pb_myguid (again, only last 8 digits)

But admins, if convinced, of wrongdoing, can act with his NIck alone, and ban him from their own server.

You can act yourself to keep the servers clean

When you run into server tards, film them (www.fraps.com) take loads of screenshots and don´t forget the score list, write down date, time, server name and IP and report them. You can mail EA directly, however they'd rather you use one of the two reporting sites out there where trusted admins check the info prior to forwarding it to EA, who then does the final checking and takes action based on the evidence.

Now i need to say that i have checked this player´s stats and without prejudice for what you witnessed, from his stats he does not appear to be a TK king, we have ruthly the same score (53´000+) he has 480 TK and i, being a carefull player, have 417

Thanks helmut, i normally have Fraps running, but i on this occassion, it was not, and in combination with a new keyboard with a fooked screen print, i didn't get a screenie. But Thors should have the demo. (i'll get it).

But his stats speak for its-self. I've tried to contact the regular populated PR server admins. If they are able to ban him on PID / Nick that would be great. However the one admin to respond so far, said a ban was not possible without GUID.

I just dont want him on PR servers. And trust me neither do any of you.

Hey Madtommy,thors brigade has battlerecorder turned on it,which is solid proof,but they are automatically deleted after a few days afaik,so download the battlerecorder file and report it to an admin(schrotti in this case).
I had a similair experience and reported tker to schrotti via P.M,he said he would ban him on sight.

You can not find out after the person has logged off. You can ban by IP (but if they have dynamic, it is no good) or by cd hash. There needs to be an admin on who can capture that. If you have it from one server (and it is posted), you (admins) can add it to your own server. Unfortunately, I would say the best thing to do is put his name out there and have people watch for it. Battlerecorder will be proof, but you won't be able to get his cd hash from there. You could run his name through punksbusted.com and see if you come up with it too.

I'm sorry -=TB=-Schrotti, but that is a joke.. have one look at his stats and feckin ban him. 28 server kicks in as many days in vBF2. And there he is TKing away on your PR server, but you can’t ban?

No wonder this community is going down the tube. Undoing all the good work the Devs are putting in.

How do we expect the community to act with maturity if we can’t police our own! The smacktards can do what they feckin like, they won’t get banned unless they do it to an Admin.

What is a player meant to do when they encounter a TKing idiot on a server. Leave and come back to the server when the idiots have left? or retaliate and TK their ass back! Well I’ll be leaving and from my experience there is no point recording the details from the event and reporting it to the Admin, as they won’t or can’t do shit. Very disappointing, but explains why the community gets more smacktards in it every day.

The community is doomed without server Admins taking action. And if you cant trust the voice of an old regular warning of a vanilla TKing asswipe on your server well . . good luck for the future. I'll just have a public little hissy fit.

lol....I treat anyone, who even tries to TK me, as an enemy... like two smackfucks, that drove on a forklift behind me and dared to shoot me and wound me, since I had the pilot kit on*sigh*...I reached the Cobra and shot 10 rounds in them, TKing both and they happily punished me...retards...

From reading these forums I got the impression that TB was pretty well Admin'd.
I would like to think that if you had more proof in the way of a BR file or a series of SS that he would get banned.
But lots of people will be watching for him now and there are less servers to hide in if he trys to run when ID'd in the game.
He won't last long.
BTW, if and when you do get a DR file on this putz, send it to DevFile and IgI and some of the other big servers so they can ban him as well.
