get the long stick kind with the base, it usually comes with a sticky pad you stick on the side of your monitor then fold it down. wont have that annoying thing on your head. they are like 10 bucks. that logitech one up there should do the trick.

System, you need to reduce your directx down to basic. Here is how:
Start> Run> "dxdiag" Go to the sound tab. Under DirectX features, move it down to basic acceleration. |

2 headphone with the left one having a mic attached ... best set up ever! You have play on full volume til 05:00 and whisper since the mic is 2cm away.
The only problem is having to movev the mic up when you want to sip your coffee. |

Eating and drinking with a headset on is a skill that one acquires after years of constant practice.

You chaps whose VOIP keeps cutting out in-game - is your mic plugged in to a "Line2" socket, or anything other than "mic"? If so, muvixer is your friend:
http://www.muvixer.com/ Basically windows automatically checks and resets the microphone "in" settings. God knows why - there's no sensible reason for it to do this, but it does. If you're using a break-out box or front panel, the chances are that your mic isn't plugged in to what your computer recognises as "mic 1", which is what windows expects. muvixer forces windows to to use the input you specify and prevents the OS from altering the settings. I've been using it since I bought BF2, and it's solved that problem once and for all. By the way, I'm new to PR (thanks PC Gamer UK), so if you see me, say hello before you shoot me in the head. |
