Pilots (artillery/supply drops)
If one is using a joystick to fly (helos)how is there a way to call artillery or supply drops with the comm rose. Right now i have to take my hands off and do it. Is there a way to set it up on the joystick?

That will just brig it up. You still have to mouse over. Is there a macro or something you can do or like a quick key?

Well first off you should not fly as a squad leader. As squad leader you should lead a squad

Commander -----> Squad Leader (Ground control/Gunner) -----> Squad mates (planes)(helos)

Commander overview + comms direct to Pilot = High A10 Effectiveness.. IMO. edit: As a chain of command; if ground troops need air support, their respective SLs ask the commander of an air strike, then Commander can paint the target for the A-10 pilots. This way all squads benefit from the air support, not just the ones with an A-10 within. This also allows the infantry squads to be 6 men, which is very important. | ||

I didn't think having an Air Squad is all that complicated of a concept. Seems like you guys can't wrap you heads around it. If there is an Air squad then Commanders can relay to other squads when its availiable and give the Pilot (SL /me) a move marker to pick up guys and where to take them. And SL's can request pick up and then Commander can inform the squad transport is airbourne and on its way. Commander gives squad a move marker for pickup and gives the pilot the same move marker. Its quite effective if you have teamwork and a good commander. Moves then troops VERY quickly from one point to another on a map like Qui River(sp)
That being said can someone answer the question? |
