high pings?

ive only had project reality for a few day's. i love it, its like playing a whole new game compared to bf2. ive notieced though, there may be 19 servers when i go to multiplayer but only about 3 or 4 have playable pings. for me a playable ping is under 100. the rest of the servers will have pings up to 250. i run with a steady ping of 20 to 30. so im curious why so many high pingers in this mod?

Probably because there playing on servers in other countries.

If you live in NA then play on devfile or tactical gamer.
If you live in EU then gog iGi or ThorsBrigade.

Make sure you don't have anything like MSN open in the background, and you aren't downloading anything.

thanks guys, i didnt consider different countries having an effect on the conenction speed. i played tactical gamer its a good one. hopefully a good amount of servers will pop up over the weekend, as ive only had it thurday and today.

r pub if they were smoking my pot they probably couldnt operate their PC. im a Botanist.

Its a nightmare for me. The fastest speed I can get where I live is a 512k line. Theres only a select few servers I can play on that run with a sub 100 ping. I mainly play the 24/7 Muttrah server.

If I want a variation I have to put up with higher pings (100-200). Praying I can upgrade soon.

Dont get me wrong, PR knocks the sh*t out of its opposition, but lower pings would be kinda nice

i always (nearly) play at TacticalGamer even if its in America (im in Europe)
100 Ping + is ok in Pr (dont have any lag though)

Try all the low ping servers first, see if you can find one that doesn't lag. Also, are you sharing your connection with other computers?
