Uhm Eggman you said you're dealing with some "real life issues"?? Last I heard Devs don't have "lives"?

Really nice work with all the changes going into 0.6 and beyond! The view distances and large maps are going to be very interesting. I also love the destructable elements in the game, really changes what cover and concealment are now that a 105mm shell could reach out and touch you in that house

A big thank you to all the Devs and testers for their continued efforts.

Cheers,

Close your eyes and imagine some really cool military picture, or better yet a really funny picture in this space. I said close your eyes damnit!

can we get another zoom level for the m16 in a patch sometime, in real life the crosshair ontop of the rifle can be flipped so that it's more accurate at long distances ?

Yup, he put out a contract on his wife and kids so he could work on PR then go snowboarding the odd weekends (after release).

That was a joke btw, Mrs eggman....

Hope you don't make the range on the assault rifles unrealistic. The efficient range of fire whilst maintaining accuracy is only 400m on an L85 and 550m on the m16, to make them effective at greater distances wouldn't be good imo.

550m on the M16? Where did you grab that figure from, considering the SA80 has the SUSAT? Please don't tell me you got your stats on the interwebz.

The SA80 is accurate to 600m with a skilled firer, and 800m as suppresive fire. Although with the average shooting skills of the average soldier (including corps) it is only right to say that the SA80 w/SUSAT is accurate to 400m, and effective as suppression fire up to 600m.

The same as above applies to the L86A2 (LSW), which on average is accurate to 600m and suppression at 800m. Although with a skilled firer it's accurate to 800m and suppression at 900m (the distance where non-snipers tend to FUBAR their shot compension for elements such as windage, travel etc etc).

This issue has already been addressed anyway
