Unless I'm watching IEDs. Then I'll give entire lessons over the chat. Or if there's no noobs to teach, I'll get into long debates on the nature of life and divinity.
Or you and Garabaldi can get into a big fight and call each other gay. haha, you and DF know what I am talking about.

If a new guy asks a question, I will answer it when the game isn't going very fast. If I answer it and they ask the same question again, I refuse to help people at all. Ask the question, and wait for the answer.

But is it the "idiots" fault for not reading the guide, or is it the name callers fault for not helping him? If you have the option to help yourself, do it. If in that situation he asked for help nicely, you give the guy a nice answer back.

Yes, there are a lot of pricks there. I usually issue language warnings when I see that kind of smacktardery, and then if they continue, I kick.

I just think that PR is getting an attitude and we really need to make sure that we keep some of us long time players on track and help everyone out. Ya Im Ghosty the one who was banned. But this is what I was trying to say when I was banned so quickly.

I still remember the first time that I asked about requesting kits in game. I was unable to get a kit from the back of the APC; there were enough members in my squad to get a kit, and no message was coming up about there being not enough kits to go around. After asking my squad (none of them answered me, even as I was asking in VOIP), I proceeded to ask in full chat. I was immediately greeted by at LEAST 3 "stfu noob, go read the manual" responses. Even after calmly explaining to them the second time that I had read it and that I could not get a kit from the APC, someone STILL told me that I was a noob and that I should "go back to nilla if you dont know how to play".

My point is, there seems to be a lot of people in this community that are eager to discourage new players, as if someone asking questions was a sin punishable by death. I try to help people out whenever I can, no matter how obvious the question might be. Its great that so many people here do the same, even if there are a lot out there who think they are all that because they know more than a first time player

I know at least 12 vetran BF/mod players that feel the same way and have backed out of PR because of this attitude, they love the game, but hate the people with this attitude and are tired of reading the BS messages and hearing new people get flamed over voip because there trying to have a good time and learn something new.

Such a great technical mod and fun to play, but the community is going to kill this mod from the inside out if it is not careful.......

You can say "let them go" all you want, but when you have these huge maps that are being worked on and you can't find a full server anywhere and have to play with 12 or 21 people at a time because not allot of people are playing the mod,..we will see how "fun" and "intense" it is?

on a side note I wonder what will happen if some of the up coming changes ruffle the feathers of the "die hard" community? Will the thumb suckers start to cry to the devs?

Please Devs just do your thing, it's beautiful so far and I applaud your work, I know you have maintained you are going to make the mod you want and let the chips fall where they may with the community.

I do ask though can you really call it a game if there are no players?

It's hard to be humble when your as great as I am....

god this is becoming a racial debate agaisnt noobs. GUYS WERE BECOMING RACIST we need to stamp out ths predjudice against noobs. Yes we are the elitists tactical players of BF2 but seriously we need more of us and helping the new players is a good start!
