Good Times With VOIP

DevFile Al Basrah is an awesome server for VOIP communication. For the past 3-4 days I have been using it & it really makes the game & just the experience of playing the map itself, that much better. About 10 minutes ago in DevFile myself & Maistro an [R-PUB] were completely dominating in the Cobra, and not just flying around, we were seriously communicating, giving each other info regarding range on targets, altitudes etc... It was amazing. We took VOIP to a whole new level.

He ended up like 50-3 on the round & we had them backed into Palace by the time the round ended.

If you have a mic, use VOIP! Many dont know this about me, especially in the many games I play, but I have a stuttering problem, nothing to bad, but it prevents me from having serious conversations over VOIP, yet myself & Maistro dominated...short & sweet transmissions. So if someone with a slight speech problem can do it, so can you! It just makes the game alot better.

I just lead a squad on Basra the round following the one you're refering to. We took the VCP flags (of course they were up and down a bit) and moved into the city. Some tough times in there, surrounded by insurgents for about 5 mins. I, as SL, was the only one alive for most of it, and eventually battled my way out back to South VCP.

A while later, we got top squad, I got top combat score and the gold medal ("medic!").

Good times. Join the Tourney boys!

last few days have been great on basrah, played in an armour squad last night with juniper as the leader. we had 2 apc's and a tank and we moved together and coordinated and it was beautiful.

the insurgents began to target us, and at one point we had about 5 suicide bombers attack us in a 5 minute time period, it was so amazingly fun

Was that the round where I was flying around in a blackhawk doing insertions onto the flags? The one where we pushed them back to palace and they were like "WE WONT GIVE UP, ALLAH IS ON OUR SIDE"?

Glad you enjoyed "Juniper's Armoured Adventures in AlBashrah!"[tm]. Join my squad any day. I agree, it was poetry the way we moved our armour around that battlefield. We Only lost 1 MBT during hour half-hour camp-out at the S VCP crossroads.

Yes, Agreed - VoIP is the ONLY way you can play an armored squad - since VOIP is a *requirement* to drive an MBT. Gunner/Driver/Cupola gunner need to be in constant communcation with each other, since the M1A/MBT is the biggest bullzeye on the battlefield, (and those INSURG's all want to be martyred by nailing one of them). =)

(Or was it EYES RIGHT? oops! -kabloom-...! Dang, there went 60 tons of turbine-powered goodness turned into a heap-o-scrap. ;( heheh)

Yep Voip makes all the difference, played with PR Hobbs and SGraham in the M1A1 last night on Al Basra with another bloke following us in the repair truck (sorry can't remember his name). All calling out targets and suggestions, it was great.

It's also fun being a high value target as you've got RPG's and bomb cars after you, it gets mental. Jihad truck got us in the end though!

Hey Juniper, didn't know you posted here. Myself, Juniper & another player in the squad (forgot his name) were operating the MBT, while our 4th had the A-10 up & was providing close air support. Pretty intense.

By the way Juniper, I have a feeling you have been in the US military, haven't you?
