Alright after seeing that LB movie from the TG game, I decided to test my logitech wingman joystick in bf2.
I am pretty good with it, since i live by it with wwiiol and believe me, it was the hardest thing ever. With the mouse and keyboard i could trim slightly and do miniscule movements and bring myself into a hover from move. With the joystick i could take off and go forwards and backwards good, but once i got a little roll, i would overcorrect myself as the joystick is not good form miniscule movements. So if you want a challenge or you think you could fly with a joystick you are up for a big task. |

I have been flying with a joystick the entire time I have played BF2. I actually think flying with a mouse would be pretty hard.

It just takes a little getting used to.
I've been using joysticks since before Terminal Velocity came out AGES ago. So its really all I can use. |

I also use a Wingman, been using it pretty much from the start of BF2. At first I was better using the mouse for Heli's and the stick for fixed wing, but now its all I use for both.

you have to get used to it, you can do just as much as a mouse can do

Its just this game for me, strafing with the cannon in pr or mg in bf1942 was just easier with mouse since you could aim it a whole lot bettter,
However other games just seem better suited for joystick |

I use a joystick for my heli piloting, and I've found that turning up the "resistance" when I move the joystick allows me to fly straighter and make small corrections more easily, simply because it's harder to move the joystick around.

I use the mouse for much of my flying, and I pretty much get my ass kicked whenever I am attacked by an enemy fighter.
Do you guys suggest me getting a joystick? And if so, does any joystick work or is there one better then others? |
