Ther new breed of spawn campers
I just got out of Gloryhoundz. In both Hills of Hamgyong and Mao an enemy (Chinese) squad of at least two camped the flag one back. There will be few spawners here and even fewer aware of any danger. Since I was a sniper I spawned in these rear bases several times to live just 2 seconds. These campers were picking off stragglers (rear-spawners) such as myself and preparing for if we lost our forward base.
Will AASv2 fix this? |

hmm.. you may find that it will be close to fixed in the next evolution of PR... it will certainly be a much rarer occurence so dont sweat it too much...
When this happens i usually let my squad know and we go and hunt them.. I strategy is to wait for another teammate and couple of you spawn at the same time.. I dont think this is too abd as they are essentially forward scouting their next flag..it is annoying mind you but teamwork easily overcomes it... |

Yes, I'd spawn still one further back, and move up to put a cap in their asses.... or, even better, ram a capped *flag* in their asses.... no.... too extreme.

Yeah I HATE this. And I do not condone it, it's not "scouting" you don't send in a full squad to "scout" It's just dumb playing. I consider this spawn camping plain and simple. It's only condonable if maybe the enemy is in the process of capping the other flag and they are just setting up this one. This really irks me, and what pisses me off THE MOST.
"Well if we keep killing you don't spawn there." That's the only place TO spawn you noobfucks! The main example is al jabal. It was either spawn at damn or spawn at factory, and why the hell should I have to spawn at factory when the US doesn't have bridge and we have their beach flag white At least I was able to say "Well keep spawn killing us while your squad COULD be defending the beaches that we take over" It felt a little good when we pushed them back to the carrier. But anyways, I think with AAS2 this won't be an issue. |

I don't know, if your sitting near it, but not actually point your guns at spawns, it can be an effective blitzkreig tactic, from having 2 flags suddenly ones capped and the next ones neutral, hopefully leaving a squad or two in what isnow no mans land.
But actually 'camping' the spawns before you can cap is lame. |

Whats worse is it's usually M4 whores that are doing it, which really sum's them up entirely.
Having said that, I use a similar tactic where if I am SL, I sit near the next, next flag on the AAS line when the current one if neutral so we can catch the enemy snoozing. flag one goes, we jump on the that flag and within 30 seconds it's neutral....works very well if the rest of the team is working. |

I really losers who basically cheat.
That said, this is PR and we don't need babysitters. If a whole squad is out of position then the other team is short manpower and is more vunerable. Like IronTaxi said, just teamup and hunt them down because they are focused on the spawn and won't have good perimeter security out. If they are camping the only spawn it is much harder but you can still get rid of them. |

I see two things in this thread that are odd. First and foremost, the M4 is overhyped. I rarely just lose because a lesser player had an M4. 95% of the time I would have been killed by any weapon. THe other 5% is either luck or superior skill. The spawn camping described originally isn't spawn camping. It is very wise to split forces and send them at an advanced flag while the rest of the team takes the initial flag. It only becomes and issue if the main force is stalled, leaving the advanced squad in an odd position. Do they stay there and pick off respawners or do they rejoin the main force and risk getting cut down from behind?
Like mentioned earlier, unless the squad has truly taken up positions behind the spawn locations then I don't think it is spawn camping. Spawn camping is camping uncaps or mains where vehicles spawn to just get easy kills while the enemy would never usually expect an attack. |
