Complaining
not about the mod, the mod is great. But about the players.
Now I know this doesn't apply to all of you, but there are just a few things that I hate about the pr players. Though probably most who view this forum are not like this, because to my understanding noobs don't read forums, they are too busy killing people. But here is some things that players should think about. I think if people would read this and maybe even learn something this mod could become more fun to play for everyone. But to the subject Spawncamping Why? Do people really enjoy getting free kills so much? To me it brings very little satisfaction to shoot someone who spawned 0.2 seconds ago. They have no way of defending themselves. Overall this ruins a lot of rounds. Of course you might have to kill someone who just spawned when you are taking a flag or covering guys who are taking flags, but to see a lot of people camping inside uncappable spawns is just plain wrong) M4 whoring Yes it is the best weapon in the game right now. Does it mean that it's the only weapon you can use? I see very few medics/riflemen/at who would be a huge help to their team. Instead of those kits I see usually about 50% of the US team being spec ops. Now I take it this is just to get your precious k/d ratio up? Why can't people understand that this mod is supposed to be about teamwork, not your k/d ratio. medics, ohh the medics One question here. Why do I see so many medics just run right past me/over me while I'm there critically wounded lying on the ground calling for a medic? When I'm medic the only thing I do is revive/heal people, last night on iGi I had my medic pack on my hands instead of the m16 for over 50% of the round. Yeah, I had 3 kills and 12 deaths in the end, but I revived about 20 people that round & got about 10 healing points. So I suggest that ALL medics would start doing their job, and this also applies to riflemen because too many times I've been using one of my last mags and asking for some ammo just to see a rifleman walk right past me without throwing an ammo bag. voip anyone? When I started playing this mod (I think it was version 0.2 or something like that back then) there were a lot of people using voip. Now a lot of the time I have to join a squad "teamwork" or "voip" or something like that to hear anyone using the voip function. But wait, it gets worse, way worse. 2 nights ago on iGi (I think) I just joined to the server. Looked up and saw a squad called "voip", so I join there, and no one says a word. Ask the SL if he is gonna open his mouth or not, but don't get a reply. Then I decided to leave the squad. And to my pleasant surprise I saw a squad called "voip2" I was like thank you god, thank you. So I join it, ask whats the plan. And total silence... So do you really need to make a squad called voip if you are not going to use voip at all? thanks Now I'm glad there are still quite a lot of people who do this. Since sometimes when I revive someone he just runs away. (doesn't even want to be healed to full health) I'm like "I just ran through 2 streets full of flying bullets to save your ass, and I don't even get a thanks?" Myself, everytime someone revives me, even if it ends up so that before I can even get up someone shoots me I still say thanks. Same goes for healing people. tk punishing Now punishing is a good system if used correctly. The thing that pisses me off is that there are a lot of people who punish from every single teamkill. Like yesterday I was playing and one of our flags turned grey. So I turned there and used my granade launcher. Killed 2 enemies and 1 friendly, and even before I could say sorry I was punished. Whats the point in that? What I do when I get teamkilled is, if it's clearly intentional, or just plain idiotic then I punish. If I have no idea how/why I was tk'd I wait for a moment. If he says he is sorry, I forgive, if he doesn't then I'll usually punish him. But if I can see that it's an accident (like someone throwing a grenade and it hits a tree/door/window frame or I'm right next to an enemy I forgive every single time because he didn't mean to kill me. So I guess that's it. I just hope that I managed to convert atleast 1 guy from worshipping his k/d ratio to helping his teammates. And I'm sorry if there are some spelling mistakes or stuff like that, I'm too tired to check for them. |

not to sound like an anti-teamwork guy or anything, I am all for it, but consider this next time you see someone bragging about his/her K/D ratio:
How do you win a game? Well, most cases, you win by making the opponents tickets go to 0. Every kill you make, one ticket less for the enemy, every death, one ticket less for your team. So, K/D ratio is important, if you are thinking on the context of wanting your team to win. You win if your team has a better K/D ratio then the other team. I agree, teamwork is very important, using teamwork, you can improve all the K/D ratios in the squad, it is an important element. But don't just bash someone cause they have a great K/D. Look at my sig, I proudly show my best K/D ratio I have ever received. You may bash that but think about it, I am proud of it because I helped (considerably) my team to win. |

i seen a chinese sqaud of medic running around today, which was a nightmare they where like fooking ants as i kill one another one would revive.
but the m4 whores have replaced the support whores of old. and this self healing medic culture is beyond a joke. medics healing them selves really really need to be disabled |

If you make a squad called VOIP then just before you go out to do your first major tactical move you should simply shout out "rollcall! everyone sign-in" and if people don't respond, theres always the "manage squad" option
Auto-punish and punishing for TK's : theres a reason why it is disabled on iGi and why we don't have extremely angry people spitting and swearing a lot of the time like I have seen over the pond. Forget kill/death ratios. It's all about how you kill the enemy, not how many times. Even if they kill you 4 times for every one death of theirs, if you do something utterly spectacular when taking that one and really inconvenience them, you've scored higher in grin factor |

Spawncamping
I agree, however last time i gave a guy a break but he ended up killing me. It's just annoying. I think AASv2 will sort it out. M4 whoring Dam straight, get rid of the Spec Ops kit. I say. I hope they leave when 0.5 comes out. I don't care if that means less players. medics, ohh the medics Yeah, however wounded people need to be more visible on the radar and stay until they die. voip anyone? VOIP in game isn't that good, can't hear shit over all the sound effects. I guess TS is better. thanks Agree, however if i get revived and i'm not in cover, i run to cover. I usually say "follow" so the medic gets my drift. I hate it when i revive and they just stay there, it's upto them to get to cover once revived and get healed up. tk punishing Agreed, i try to give at least 10-20 seconds of time to say sorry before i punish. So I guess that's it. Oh there's plenty more. |
