You mean BF2 maps are designed like real places? Proof for Kubra Dam please.

i think deadfish means BASED OFF of real places....

i hardly think any vanilla bf2 maps can be considered 'designed like' real places.

I'm pretty sure those are of another dam, and that Kubra Dam is not real.

I looked at the site, and they had three pictures of "Kubra Dam", and the third one has big signs with characters on them (Chinese I think, but I'm not sure). So I'm pretty sure that it is another dam.

EDIT: I think it is the Three Gorges dam.

Then like every map in every semi-realistic game is based off a real place...

A few Battlefield 2 maps, like Daqing oilfield, are a reference to a real place. There is an actual Daqing oilfield in China, but it looks nothing like the bf2 map.

The real Daqing Oilfield: http://english.cas.ac.cn/English/image/S&T/daqing.jpg

The maps in bf2 are just map to look semi-realistic (except for the airstrips close together), but are not based off real places.

some maps are modelled after a real place, but they do not look exactly like that
(just like "our" muttrah city is based off a real place) - itīs just a fact, many of the places (like jallalabad) really exist, itīs just really difficult to "export" them into playable bf2 sized maps
