I think on average, depending on the wound, a dying patient has approx 26 seconds to live on untreated if the wound is head or neck based. In the chest, 30 to 47 seconds would be realistic. fatal shots in the arms, groin and legs would be dependant on blood loss and circulation, but a ripped aortha can quickly turn nasty, and the patient would loose too much blood to be saved after just 15 seconds.
Also, most fatal chest shots aren't treatable with the shock pads, and you might as well give up in advance if the person has been struck with anything bigger than a 50.cal, not to mention a rocket or a tank shell. |

yeah, i know. you'd have to glue the pieces together if he was directly hit by a tank shell.

I ALWAYS sprint right towards the wounded ith my shock paddles out, because the enemy is usually shooting at other people, and they dont expect me to run right out like that. I must look like a madman when Im running out in the middle of the street n Karkand to revive two buddies amidst all the flying nades and rifle fire :P

yeah, it's what i do as well. there's no use in being careful cus you'll never be there in time and you only have to wait 15 sec for respawn.

Re: Only medics need apply.
Annoyed, because I'm either under heavy fire and can't risk it without risking more damage to my squad, which is a good annoyed I guess. This is probably pretty close to real life in not being able to get to someone in a street or something... Its good in this regard
However, most times I am also annoyed because I shock paddle them when they claim to be critically wounded and it misses, hitting thin air, so in a great attempt to save them I throw down bandage after bandage in order to get the body to bounce up... then it fails and I am annoyed. Like I said, I think the first annoyed is just a great part about PR... sometimes things dont work out and you cant get to them.. but the other times im annoyed are just because of BF2 hating me :P Hope this poll takes us to good places |
