commander role and communication

Just wondering where the Commander role will fit into PR and also how the voice communication will work. definitly a good thing it made it into bf2 but the site says it will work something like the soldier talks to the squad leader and he then can talk to the commander... will there be any sort of talking within earshot of other players or any changes made to the voice chat for PR?
-changes to how squads are set up?

He's just a regular soldier. He can be killed just like everyone else.

But where does he stand in the battle, surely he must have some good cover.

which btw is also i feel needs fixin. you can't have a commander who is supposedly directin the squads just running around scoring kills. he needs to be in his command post where-ever that may be, out of the range of enemy artillery. the commander should coordinate, control and manage the battle. not be part of it.

Fact of life: A Conscience is what hurts when all your other parts feel so good.

Wolfmaster-
as far as where the commander goes i believe there is a building or something where he can direct the battle from (ordering soldiers, artiller etc) and i think the building may be immune to enemy fire.

that's pretty good that is.... but i think if you get the honor of being generall you shoudn't be running around getting pionts. I'd most likely find a nice secluded area to hide out, maybe at the last captured flag. Don't want too be TOTALLY useless.

well if youre a good commander you definitly wont be totally useless. personally i was pretty pumped when i heard that this feature would be in the game. it should add to the teamwork.

-also, what could be nicer than having your buddy call down some artillery if youre in a tight spot?
