Very good system of targeting, DEVs.

Explaining the position of a target to a squad member in this weeks game, nearly got us killed by the target.

Now if I can get the chevron to appear on my compass!

125m is just too short for me, i have noticed some squad leaders not using the marker system because its pointless after that distance

It actually isn't pointless as the chevron on the compass gives you the direction, all you need to do is to confrim, 1st floor, 2nd floor, stairs, roof, mountain top, bottom...

People in real life don't have move markers.

How on Earth do you ever find your car in a parking lot? I hope you don't stand there screaming "I need a marker!"

It would be just a crutch, and obviously unrealistic. If PR is to mimic reality it probably should be removed all together like the mini map.

we can't repaint only 1 of a type of building, they all get changed, and often other types get changed too since htey use the same texture pallets.

but I register your point, small props that are really easy to see like brightly coloured washing outside a balcony would be a nice addition.

We just can't go overboard on that as it increases performance load, but its a good idea to give differentiation.

But in real life you can use your hands etc to point in a direction.
The PR marker is there to simulate this.

That actually made me laugh out loud.

No, but this is the way the actual pr marker works.
It points on a direction on your compass, like you could do in reallife.
I really like the new marker system, no need to change it imo.

You pointing to a building with your finger is hardly a guiding beacon placed at an exact location, on an electronic map, that is linked to everyone, showing each building in detail, telling you what to do when you get there and/or what is there.

The compass provides the virtual finger to point with.

"Sniper at Three Four Zero on the second floor of the grey building with three levels, third window from the right!"

Infact...

The compass really isn't so realistic either, accept for in RL you (or most people) would have a general sense of direction as far as North, South, East, and West. You wouldn't know "Sniper at 330 degrees!"

Maybe the compass should be simplified. Also
