Most needed is the skill to stay alive...

Go to deployment > createl local and pick any map you like that has choppers on... they spawn and you can train on them...

if you want bots included go to cooperative and do the same...

you also have to get used to the natural pitch of the chopper due to engine thrust (increasing and decreasing). How to flare for quick landings. Landing on rough terrain. Hovering (much harder than vbf2). Strafing a target (for attack choppers and trans choppers with gun platforms). Basically you needs LOTS of practice.

Also, please practice practice practice!!! Stay on a training server until you learn how to fly fully. And please don't say that you're a master heli pilot in BF2, because once you strap into a Reality helicopter, it's a whole different experience...

Flying in PR is nothing like in vBf2. Controlling the aircrafts is relatively easy once you practiced enough, it's the mentality that is hard to get used to after pwning jets in vanilla. You are no longer at the top of the foodchain with your mighty chopper, even a random guy with a stinger can shoot you down.
If you really are a master bf2 pilot, you should know what defensive flying is. Do that in PR and you'll be fine.
Avoid the enemy at all costs, engage only when you can dictate the terms of the battle.
Staying alive is the most important thing in a chopper. And practice, practice, practice.

best advice would be to read the manual. Its full of little gems of wisdom that will make the pr experience a lot more fun for you

lol youre right

Watch this for the ultimate flight experience !!

yeah it is different flying in PR but pretty easy to get use too...i had no problem jumping into a blackhawk and flying around and landing and hugging the landscape...now i'm not even gonna try the jets cuz i suck at flying those anyway and don't really want too haha!

Yeah, Flying will take ALOT of practice, I still haven't completely mastered it yet. You may find that you are simply no good at it compared to others, and that flying should be left to them (Like I myself have concluded), but dont worry, there are many other important (and fun) roles to fill on the battlefield.
Hehe, good conclusion i'm just like you, no flying skill

Co-op vehicles will react more like bf2 since bots need to use them and using pr's vehicles just won't work with them very well i guess. So if you want to practice flying a jet, go to co-op, choose the map kashan, then when it loads and you spawn, take an aircraft from the hangers, not from the runway because those act just like bf2 vehicles do and if you practice on those for a month then decide to fly on a real server, you'll be in for a big suprise
