Hey, am I somewhere wrote that PR is getting worse? He becomes the other. So I ask: in what direction it is moving?

I sometimes wish there were two versions of PR... one like 0.4 or even 0.3 and one like 0.9.

An analogy for me is:

Early version were like football; fast paced, fun & action packed.

Recent versions are like golf; slow, challenging, often frustrating but rewarding.

I've often wondered about a PR hardcore mode, the hardcore being that we have now and softcore being a version with easier to deal with features I guess, but that would split the community in two...so I dunno

It could only improve things tbh...

People would play what they like best and you would end up with a better selection of teammates rather than each doing what they like best.

Variation = win.

I remember several quoes of "all we care about is having at least one 64 full server to play on" or similar, and there is more then enough for 2 divisions.

But a "softcore" version wouldn't be the way the DEVs want PR played. same reason they have server licence agreements.

Not really, I dont think you can even compare CoD4 to vbf2 at all anyhow.

My personal favourite times in PR were in (I think .25?) at least when it was pretty much a few new sounds, zoom on apcs/new rounds etc on all the vanilla maps. It was insanely fun.

Call me a 'vanilla noob' all you want, it was still more fun and ultimately felt more natural on the engine to me.

In CoD very lovely model of the motion character, system to overcome obstacles and barriers, animations. That's all I liked it there. But, if I may, let us not discuss here CoD.

a softcore server would still have to obey the server license, it would just offer a new option.

The DEVs can still play PR the way they want, but the question really is, would players like teh DEVs want to be trying to play the hardcore version with some players treating it like softcore?
I'm not saying its the best idea, but it is an option.
