So, some people in another clan were doing some EOD work, and it was quite a dream to have on insurgency.
What were they doing exactly? They were running around on Karbala with 2 Humvees, and going around to common mine placing spots, and they were disarming them, with a high mortality rate. So, what are your thoughts about having a squad dedicated for EOD work to help clear mines and IEDs in Insurgency? I know this post is a bit vague, but you should get the idea, PS: EOD = Explosive Ordinance Disposal |

i suppose its good in some situations but at the same time, like with most things in game, thats less people looking for caches. But then i do suppose you could be saving tickets as well...
Also, clear IED's? hows that done? by driving over them? If we were not limited by 32 players a team, id LOVE to see fully fledged EOD teams. PR2 maybe.... |

It would be nice if the combat engine could explode ieds with the c4 pack.

if you was close enough to put c4 on it, what stops the guy at the other end from blowing you up?

Loosing combat engineer kits to insurgents are pretty much the worst thing there is.
Jihad motorbikes, i still got nightmares.. Hadn't been for this flaw in game mechanics, sure. |

But if some one is going to destroy your ied, waiting would be pointless?

But yeah, sounds like an interesting idea. With only 32 people per team it could get difficult, but I don't see why it's impossible. |

EOD teams cause more deaths with them working than without them, effectively making them useless.
As a sapper will constantly be looking at his IED field, waiting for someone to walk on it, it only makes sense to blow it up when there is an engineer trying to get rid of it. Mines however, absolutely. But where theres mines, IEDs usually follow. |

Would be kind of sweet to get an EOD team in PR2 when we have like 128 players (I wish) on a map. Just give the SQL a request button that say "We need explosive ordinance removal here!" and like 2-3 guys show up to disarm the mine or whatever.
