I don't have a strong feeling about this, but it seems to me that this is a problem whether there is one channel or two. Is it realistic for friendlies to hear each other 70 meters away, inside APCs, in tunnels, other side of mountains, etc.?

It's less an issue of realism than how is affects game play.

As an ideal, I like the one channel, but if few people use Mumble when there is only one channel, the purpose of Mumble is rather defeated.

Mumble sucks.

But if you want to go down the road of "realism". Then "Voip OFF Mumble one channel" is the only way to go.

and thats more realistic how? irl squads have radios (voip) and mumble is not realistic, so yeah....

and mumble sucks because? added layer of communication? more teamwork possibility?

I would like to see a 2 channel mumble with a hot-key for talking to ALL (like the 1 channel)
with VOIP.

Dont see a voting poll with that option.

Two channels no voip defo, at least in the long run. When you've experienced it you never want to go back.
Messy? Sure. Epic? HELL YEAH!

But yeah, as Rudd already stated, it would probably not work on the average pub server so untill mumble is ready to substitute BF2 voip in a proper way I guess we'll have to live with it.

But as gazzthompson already said, a "private" mumble event with no voip would be awsome!
