I have DL and will test as well!

EDIT: The application itself uses 26MB on my copy of XP. My copy of XP32 idles around 150MB.

Turning this on after a reboot my machine is running at 177MB.

Think its useful for games and programs that use lot or ram and doesn't properly free it up, like BF2. I'd recommend use it at end of rounds or before loading so the ram is freed before loading next map, but not while playing, BF2 needs to get the stuff it puts in RAM from somewhere and if it isn't in ram it takes it from HDD and thats slower and will affect your performance.
The program is only clearing up unused RAM. BF2 is pretty much known to not clear things up nice and tidy. If you have no trouble with BF2 CTD-ing due to memory stuff, there's no need for it.

I'm still not sure if it helps, but so far I haven't had crashes, so at least until now it works fine for me.

Running the program on an idle machine doesn't do anything except take more RAM than not running the program . It's the same as saying XP uses 150MB, but when I load up Photoshop, the memory usage increases a terrible lot!

I just put flame decals on my ram if I want it to work faster.

But really with 8gbs of ram I don't care if pr munches a bit more then it should.

Damn you people and your bitchin' fast machines!

I'm stuck with 2.2ghz Core 2 Duo, 2gbs RAM, and 256mb on my 2600 Pro.

I couldn't see any change in performance or the amount of RAM being used. I got two different readings when I checked what my system said I was using compared to what the software said.

I just tried it and wow. Amazing change in performance. I don't know if its the settings of foreground apps getting most cpu, or the possible fact it removes all unused textures loaded...

But I was for once not choppy on a map like Beirut. I used to be laggy and choppy on 60 % view scale, just tried it on a full server, 85% and no lag.

Thanks for the heads up on this great app!

Really need to know what kind of spec systems people are using this on for feedback to be any use, I think.

Are the people who are reporting a benefit using systems with 2Gb of RAM, for example?

My specs are:

2.5 gigs of ram
P4 2.4
WinXp 32
7600 gt geforce

I definitely think there was a great reduction in memory used for unseen textures.

I don't have CTD issues I just tested it because I was curious.

I just tried it in CO-OP on Muttrah and Lashkar.

Starting Muttrah @ ~1.3GB RAM used, the program kicks in and it used 300mb.
But flying around over the city there are small freezes every now and then.
Obviously when stuff is loaded back to RAM from the harddrive, since I have a SSD I imagine the freezes might be worse with an ordinary hard drive.

Lashkar using 200 MB... No improvement in FPS (not that I was expecting any).
Disconnect to try a big 4km but then BF2 CTD.

I fiddle around a bit with the settings in the program and get a BSOD "Memory Management".
Windows 7 doesn't like having programs messing around with Memory and shut down to protect my files it seems.

I'll try it out on line tomorrow.

4 GB RAM @ 1066mhz
Windows 7 64-bit
