what do you call Base Rape?

Ok me i've done this a few times on muttrah city, where i took a combat engineer kit and mined and c4'ed the ramp that connects to the mec vehicle spawn area, and just that ramp.
Than after i kill a supply truck or apc or more I get called out for base rape.

Now I consider base rape firing into a main, not setting up explosives on one of a few ways out. and note all these people had to do was turn left before the ramp and they would have been fine.

Now the question i have for you guys is what do you consider base rape. because i think this thread should set in stone what it is.

for me Base Rape is when you camp enemy base and kill people

what you did was actually very smart it was their fault for not providing overwatch over their main

It changes per map and per game mode.

Pretty much baserape I would say is shooting into a main, killing people while they are inside. When a team physically cant leave their main, its too much rape.

Different servers will tell you its different things, although I think it should be defined by the mapper with out of bounds..

I'd say base rape is where you can kill the people immediately when they spawn at their main. So OP, I wouldn't consider that base rape since they can move around and get vehicles. Camping a FOB wouldn't fall under this category IMPO, since I've done this many times with my squad and racked up massive kills.

Baserape is killing enemies and their vehicles at their spawn points in their main, or while they are operating in an uncappable/out of limits main base (a main base that would realistically be many kilometers away, but has to be on the map due to engine limitations). Blowing people up outside their main because they assume they'll be safe and aren't paying attention is in a bit of a gray zone, but I think on maps like muttrah it's pretty reasonable. At some point people have to be treated as if they are in the combat zone.

Base rape is a conspiracy made up by sissys. I think if you can't cope with a sniper shooting into your base then maybe you should look into other mods instead of PR. Games can still be fun, even with alleged base rape. Defending a base ingame is actually a lot of fun if you take the time to fight off the enemy before trying to rush out with all the assets. If your getting base raped it just means you failing to defend your base..

I feel a sniper shooting into main is not baserape. i feel placing mines at every way out of the base- not base rape.

I feel auto fire(as in an ak round hitting inside of the out of bounds area) base rape.
i feel arty into main base is base rape..

most types of base rape are stoppable though, and if it only kills infintry, it should be allowed for a set ammount of time before its baserape.


I mean (sure, it was allowed on the server i was on) we were baserapping the americans while playing as insergents.
The americans came back, and started droping a Heckload of crates onto the middle of their mainbase, and smoked the area while doing that, then they grabbed a lat, a hat, and a grenidear, and just started shooting the **** out of the mountians, and then their AR kit set up underneath a building and started randomly hitting the mountians.


So what im trying to say, its not baserape unless it can kill you through cover- as in blowing up vheicals.
The only exception is if there is like, 10 mne inf at your main base just shooting into it at everything.

Shooting into main, targeting infantry or vehicles. It's rape. JDAM/arty/mortars into main base in the worst kind of baserape. I hate it.

But what about copters and jets? If enemy AAV is 500m away from the main, the jets can't really take off or land, but the AAV is not shooting into base. Is this still baserape? I think it is if AAV's team can't capture the base.

My 2c

Yeah defending your main is fun, I did it once when we was the british vs insurgents on Lashkar Valley, they just kept coming in from some random place and it was fun to defend our main since there was so many of them, so it does have its time and place.

However thats the only time i've actually defended the main is that 1 time on that map lol.
