Well we are having this discussion on the RT forums, so... Could we please have a public discussion on naming your squads ANTI-JEW and LOLJEW. I personally don't appreciate seeing that kind of behavior, I'm not a Jew, but it can be offensive to some Jews. racist names existed before .9, and will continue to exist until admins kick offenders

like rudd said, its up to the admins, I don't think its very easy to mess with the squad system, and doing so just to add a wordfilter is a) a lot of work and b) kinda stupid

if you have a problem with it, write to the admins on that server. Most clans/communities will usually intervene and either warn or kick the person doing it if it gets out of hand

also, im sure if people get offended by this, admins will notice. I've seen NoKraut squads and I never really cared.

I dont join such squads. Has nothing to do with IDF or hamas especially but generally squad names that are questionable.
The two examples, well I am not sure if they are too offensive, I would not join them anyway even they are meant to be funny - I just dont like that kind of "jokes" or whatever is behind that.
I think it is too much of roleplaying or whatever it is with this kind of stuff.

If I were the server admin I would not allow offensive squad names though...
I mean if you can kick "noobs" that solo vehicles you can also kick people like that.

I mean is it really necessary to shout "allah" or create such squad names? It is just a game but all this real factions attract some strange people.

I can just say that I dont like such squad names and or roleplaying like I mentioned above.

Whats wrong with calling your squad "LOLJEW"? Who gives a crap. It's not offensive since there is no "jew hate" in the name. If your offended by that, it is IMO your own problem.

Personally, I don't like it and i wouldn't name my squad that. It shows immaturity but then again, I enjoy watching South Park and Family Guy. I know a Jew that finds South park funny. Most people, regardless of religion or race, have a sense of humor.

It's just a shame that Jews seem to be the ones that fall foul of most jokes that're aimed at people of another religion.

The only reason I'd say kick or ban people with squad named as such would be if 1 person of said race or religion alone was offended by it.

Would I be offended if I saw a squad called 'LOLBRITS' or 'ANTI-ATHEIST'? No I wouldn't.

I would say the religion that's being offended is irrelevant. Kick the guys that open up such squads. Only the action of creating a squad with such a name is an incontrovertible proof of the players lack of marturity. Personally I also don't like the "Allah" squads since they are also an offence for most of the muslims out there.

In my opinion you shouldn't be offensive against anyone and you should keep it a game. To bad plenty of players (which are mostly german) run around with names of the Nazi era and make fun of something that really isn't funny and will never be. (Just to mention: I also think that the era of general guilt for the germans is over! Just before some other germans pop up and critize me for being to guiltily.) There should be borders and the people should accept them. Who can't accept some general rules and thinks it is cool to behave like a 6-year-old without any social skills should be removed from the public until he or she knows how to act like a member of todays multicultural public properly.

I find it immature like I said in my last post on the RT discussion.

My opinion is squad names should be limited to Infantry(Winfantry, Failfantry, etc... NOT JEWFANTRY, etc...) and asset squads.

Some people call it roleplaying, there seems to be a thin line on roleplaying/offending with .9
