dunno mate, like I said, seen NoKrauts squads made by non germans on a german server, but it never really bothered me. I think if i was jewish i wouldn't be all that bothered by those names either.

As I said, its up to the administrators, if you don't like how they administrate their servers you play elsewhere.

Personally, if I was an admin of the server in question I'd warn the player to rename the squad, if they didn't comply I'd kick them, repeat offenders getting the banhammer, its just unecessary to have such a name.

in the question of ambiguous names like "LOLJEW", its really up to the sense of humour of the host server, if they deem it non-politically correct and have a policy regarding that, you will abide by their policy, leave or be helped to leave.

There is no clear solution to it all.

So I'd say: Leave it be, do not sparkle any discussion or make any rules about it, because all you're doing is provoking the avalanche. So therefore, leave it be, it is their fault they can't get straight with their pea-sized brains. But if they start to openly insult the jews, then you should act. I mean, I drop a joke-two on jews here and there, but admins won't go postal for that.

It's all about how much does that issue go far.

Really I dont understand whats so big about this those being offended by such names as loljew should get their head examined, because no one would take offense by: lolnazi, lolbritish, lolcommunist, lolPLA, lolUS, lolmuslim I personally think the racist and all teh other words describing bad things about others because of religion and race these words are in many cases overused and the word has no real value anymore since as fast as a guy that are not "white dudes" get a bad joke after them the word racist is yelled. While someone making fun of "white dudes" is never racist even if you use the same joke and just change the word from black to white.

White dudes is just a generalizing of most of the europeans and americans.

Don't assume people will be offended, when someone is offended it's time for discussion - until then what's the point? it's not hurting anyone. imho If I was Jewish I'd find more offence in being told I'm going to be offended than in a squad name.

This all falls under the realm of what server admins want to do with their servers.

That being said I agree with Smeg, naming squads this way is tactless, rude, and immature. However hopefully the mature community members will fix this problem by just not joining squads that have racist or anti-semitic names. Then people will stop creating them.

The LOLanywhat squads aren't the problem. The problem are the "Antijew" or something like that squads. These can be considered offensive and I would say there is no need to offend someone just for the fun of it. Just give your squad a name that's not offensive and maybe it's even helping out (Since it's helping a new guy when he comes on a server and looks for a squad, when the squads are called "Mec Inf", "Tac Inf", "Inf VoIP", "TOW", "Tank", "APC" and so on, more than some squads called "Lolshit", "blabla", "Allah", "Funnystuff" and some more with one serious squad which has already 6/6 players.) so everyone feels fine.

Which is exactly the policy on the RT server. I agree with others that theres nothing particularly offencive about those names imo, but if they do offend other people, then it breaks the rules on RT.

When ever I see it happen, they are asked to rename the squad, and keep religion off the server. They are warned once, and I have a good memory, so if it happens again they know what will happen.

No it doesn't, "jew" only sounds offensive when you put into negative context, wheres the N word doesn't have a friggin positive context.
