Default Updating forum avatars [help needed]

As some of you might remember, i did create the current default avatars in this forum, but its been quite a while since then and a lot of them is outdated.
Thats why I'm going to create some new ones, but i need your help at 2 points.

1. Which style should the avatars use, the current one, or maybe something like my current avatar, using this look of things reaching over the border of the pictureframe? (this question is espescially to the DEVS, since they got to like them.

2. The task for you would be, assisting me with posting closeup shots of the soldiers, preferably, when using their weapons. Priority on new weapons / factions

Like your and my one? Yes. Maybe just one side (like yours). A good idea would be to take requests of what people would like themed in them (IE 'I like British armor, could you get a challenger in front of the flag?' or 'The C7 is badass, would you be able to get a Canadian rifleman in front of the maple leaf?'

I'll get some pics, one sec.

Here are some, if you need to get more just give me a list and I'll tick them off, will take me a few days however.

Sheath no sword;
Lower no shield;
Lack no vigilance.

i choose to have the lower part fitting with the border, since that way it does not look so cut of, since the head ends anyway on the top of the image, but the body does not at the bottom

I see. How exactly do you get your images so crisp? I've tried PNG-24 and .gif interlaced but they stil seem blurry.

the missing AA on the first shots is a bit a downer, but the rest of them is nice, thanks
(since devs do not like big embedded screens, you could as well send them as mail ( maxfragg [at] gmail [dot] com )

for the sharpnes its important to resize them in one step and to do the cutting out before resizing, depending on the image i do slightly sharpen them at the end

got it, thanks, put there are some more requests
Israely soldiers, Hamas, Taliban (not new in 0.9 but missing as well), any kinds of LMG-Gunners with scope, unscoped UK and US marksmen would be cool as well, and i think i'm missing a MEC sniper.
Thanks for everyone helping, and i hope i can give you a nice bunch of new avatars

Bzzzzzzt.

Any news on this Max, if you're still puttering around? If he isn't, someone else may want to take up this project.
