Hey,
I just want to know whats with Blood Effects ingame?
Are the Devs working on it?

I dont wanna very much blood but a little effect would be nice and Realistic.
you could dye the gray dust that appears if i hit a enemy into red.

It was in PR before. It was removed around 0.7-0.75 if I remember correctly.

That was (I think) due to vBF2's crappy hit reg' and the fact that it's not as realistic as Hollywood would have you believe.

So, this isn't a suggestion, right?

They did that. And removed it.

As reason they stated, afaik, that it's not entirely realistic to have such a blood effect, especially with the ballistic vests most kits have.

Edit: Ah, yeah, and the hit reg, how could I forget that. You'd think you hit the enemy, while actually you didn't, making it look odd. Also, damn ninjas.

It would be nice, but unfortunately bf2 simply doesn't work well with it.

Also, blood doesn't usually spray all over the place when a soldier is shot, as said above ... because of the vests and equipment etc.

If there aren't Tarantino-esque blood FX, it must not be realistic.

Seriously, I was embarassed to ask this, I thought maybe my computer was just being wack and only wanted to show a "dust" effect for impact.

Here are the reasons
  • Main reason is the hit reg, you see a puff of blood client side but server side you didnt hit them. Hence a false reading and allot of bitching
  • Second, we have no material difference on characters so every hit would be a blood hit [vest, arm, helmet].
  • Third was that blood doesn't really look like then in real life.

Suggestions are closed for a reason.

Blood effects that most people think of are unrealistic. And there is no way to make everyone happy. Basically there is no need for bloody in the game. To my knowledge it currently isn't planned for any later release.
