Don't forget that you can now easily find a medic kit on the ground.
If it was up to me (and not hardcoded) I'd rather make the medic kit disappear as soon as the medic is shot down. I'm perfectly fine with all other kits staying 5mn on the ground and everyone (including insurgents) being able to operate any kinf of weapons. But the fact that a random guy can pick-up a kit and instantly be able to revive seems a bit cheap to me (for both gameplay and realism).
I'll wait for the suggestion forum to open to launch the concept.

^^ maybe a way to destroy dropped kits from the field before 5mins aswell though, otherwise the insurgents on average have twice the amount of Saws as the blufor.

As for the medic, i see the reasoning behind it, to many medics is an invinceble team. If there are to few players and oneven squads there is a way around the limitation one friendly request away to your discression.

If you can read this the bitch fell off.

I didn't initially give any thought to this change as most squads I play in are 6 man infantry squads with a medic...

I did think just then about saying what about sniper squads, with a sniper, specialist, and the need for a medic... But they arguable these squads should be properly co-ordinated with an Officer, which would make the 4 people required...

A 4 man sniper squad is a waste of resources.... If you want to however "attach" a sniper to your squad that would be more acceptable, less so now that the marksman has had an improvement though. Provided there isn't a "squad" who actually plans on doing recon (not to be confused to those who name their squads recon and just shoot things), especially if there is a commander and they are willing to help him (From the few times I commanded, when I tried to ask the recon squad if they saw anything or if the area was clear I would be met with remarks of how I'm distracting them from killing stuff, or, even more commonly, complete silence. Though I got similar results from most squads, hence why I only commanded a handful of times.).
Anyway, if you are a sniper squad, and you need a dedicated medic.... I really think you should reconsider how you play that role, because obviously you are doing it wrong.

I'm not speaking from my own experiences Exiled, if your final comments were aimed at me, as I've mentioned many-a-time I'm very good at 'bugging out' and living to tell the tale =]

But for others, especially if they want to make a very good go at it. Especially if they've just trekked across the whole map and take a nasty fall! MEEEEDIC! =P More prevailent now that Snipers only get 1 field dressing.

I hate sniper squads, but I agree that squads with 3 people should at least be able to get medics. Small squads are actually more useful in insurgency and they can pretty much sneak in and take caches out themselves without long drawn out firefights.

i think this way is right way of devs do that, couse before every sq with tree players was locked as soon as they have medic. It was 9 locked SQ with tree players and other 5 or 4 players are just waiting in the main or wondering the map. Also in RL medic is only for minors wounds or to keep soldier alive till extraction, so, will u return to base every time u got shoot and wait there lets say about 15 min before u can go out from hospital? no! couse then we play map for 12 hours. In RL sq of two or three are only for recon missions, no shooting just hidding and observe from distance, with support of battalion 5 km back. not like in PR when SQ of 3 is engaging 3 full sq. It is a waste of tickets.

I was in a 3/4 man sniper squad on Kasahn yestersay and we where effectivly spotting targets for airassets, taking out MEC who where counterattacking the bunkers, a MEC Hat gunner who was taking out tanks, and we even pinned down a MEC squad who was building a FOB, and took several out after it was built till a tank destroyed it. Id say we where pretty effective and functioning properly
