i've been flying a transport helicopter with about 3-4 passengers in the back when ive came under fire from rifle men and .50 cal and so on basically my controlls have locked and i've crashed (well sort of i've died but 1 or two of my passengers survived) and all i get is a crap storm saying "heli fail" and "your a crap pilot" and a long list of other vulgar things its a pain in the ass because i just fly to where THEY tell me too and my tail roter got shot out or something like that

It happens. I somehow lost control of my chopper after take off for seemingly no reason at all 2 days ago, landed in the ocean and floated for a while.
As for the people inside, it's typical of your average pubber. I get flak all the time for dying in armour and air assets when I've clearly been performing the role correctly and killed/transported more than enough to compenstate for my loss. For example, about 1 hour ago I get told my squad is wasting all the apcs all round over and over. I'd been ingame for 7 minutes and killed 2 apcs for 1 loss, my other guys in the squad did the same. Apparently I'm still wasting them because I died. So essentially, people can be dicks, you just need to get used to it. |

It simulates control failure. When you take enough damage the controles lock because the heli is damaged beyond flying. It gives people in the chopper a chance to live even when the chopper takes heavy fire. You don't always just blow up in mid air anymore.
AS for the people bitchin, if they have ever flown they have crashed too at some point, and if they have never flown then they have no say. esspecially with alot of new people and returning people you get stupid comments like that. People thinking they are just to awesome at a war game and when "war happens" in the game they have to blame someone. (Sometimes there is someone to blame but sometimes there isn't, but people will always find the easiest person to blame) But of course if you can't fly don't fly, but if you can and get shot down and someone shoots their mouth off, tell them fly cause they apparently should be. |

Once I was flying a heli on muttrah, A trans huey and I was supposed to drop some people in one of the front outposts (The second one if I am not wrong) and in muttrah I fly low (at the beggining I was flying you know from the carrier then I went near the hills above the street you know... next to that factory) and for some reason my very cheap mouse moved to the right ingame but not actually and the chopper flipped and crashed!
So people started calling me things and next time I wanted to fly, I got kicked by an admin telling me to go fly in a training server! Now that's lame! |

I hear you.....
I was once asked to drop a squad at the dock on Muttrah that had been overrun my the MEC and was crawling with APC's.... I refused to drop them there saying it was too hot and offered to drop them near north city instead..... they just gave me so much abuse it was unreal.... No matter how good a pilot you are, you WILL be shot down at times and getting grief for that can really wind you up... |

Your the pilot, you have ultimate say where you fly. You dont like where they want you to take them to, you take them to the nearest place you feel safe and they can deal with it. Better them walking a little extra than them all dead along with your chopper.

Hellstorm, try to check your map before flying to the possition and imagine where the enemy forces will be looking.
