Or RT mumble server you will find tons of inter squad communications as long as there is a major part of the player base using mumble in most of the servers that is named

Yea mumble = Only REAL way for Squad to Squad cooporation because it is SOO hard for them to communcate any other way... typing is kind of effective ... but the new squad leader radio now sort of lets the other squads know where enemys are with the icon setting feature.. so yes mumble is the only REAL way it needs to be Forced or some sort of requirment :S

Also it's great being able to hear the enemy too - it's the ONLY time I've ever had to tell my squad to shut up because the enemy is near by - you do know that if you talk in real life then people nearby can hear you? Even if you're on your radio..... | |

You will it will just be quiet - like it is in mumble, seeing as it's pretty quiet when they are enar you at 70m you just hear a faint noise.
Btw, no inter-squad play? BS: PR 0.9 With Mumble - Xfire Video That's RT mumble, the one you hate so much. |

Not to bemoan the issue, but I for one enjoy the new rally system. I like how it forces squads to put up FOBs because honestly, RP's can easily get overrun by the enemy, which makes them useless. And many times, people spawn on a rally and run off, why they don't wait for the rest of the squad, I have no idea. But with FOBs it's slower, because people will go to crates to request kits and such.
But to answer the OP's question. I find that as a SM, I rarely ever play with other squads, simply because I can't communicate with them. Sometimes the game is so intense that I don't have time to type out a message to the blue guy next to me. Sometimes I'll follow a squad if I get separated from my squad, but even their medics don't heal me. And for the record, whenever I play medic, I always try to heal other squads who are hurt, and usually they respond with surprise that I am healing them. Having said all this, I have experienced Mumble and it is the key to at least getting members of different squads to work together if not the solution for getting whole squads to work together. For those of you knocking mumble, you have to give it a try first and this has to be with a server that has a lot of users as you running around as the only one on mumble won't cut it. Before, when I became isolated from my squad and I'm surrounded by blues, I felt alone and isolated, because I couldn't communicate with the other players. But now, I don't feel like I am a green lost among blues, I run with blues and I can get ranges from blue SL's and even ask for ammo or ask for patches and such with Mumble. I've never had a blue give me a patch until I was on Mumble. |
