Default Armor Ammo Types

I give it a quick search but can't find it.

Is there any guide giving detailed info on armors' ammo types. Or explaining which abbreviation on the gunner screen refers what ammo type!

1 slot- AP= good at engaging all kinds of vehicles
2 slot- HE,HEAT= has splash damage, good against infantry, supply crates

The new secondary ammunition type, the one which is not APFSDS (Armour-Piercing, Fin-Stabilised, Discarding Sabot) I believe is an anti-infantry munition, high explosive and not very good against armour.

Watch out with the BTR's with the BMP auto cannon.
They have HE-rounds but you can't get them by pressing 2 like in other vehicles you must use the weapon-cycle key.

I didn't use the cycle key before 0.9 and it took a while for me to realise.

dont mistake AP for anti-personel, AP is for armor piercing

HE as in HEAT is high explosive anti-tank. but really, HEAT cannon rounds dont are not effective against heavy armor like tanks. so HEAT rounds are really for infantry and light vehicles.

on insugency game modes, NEVER use AP cannon rounds, its useless. always have it on HEAT

i believe they are anti tank rockets, however it may not have gone down because you hit it on the side. i dont know how the bf2 engine handles locational hits on tanks, but i know that the side is definitly one of the strong points for the tanks armor. a hit between the turret and the body or in the back probably would have killed the tank.

i think the BTR's issue is to simulate that you dont have to take your hand off the trigger to change rounds since IRL it's double fed. <can someone confirm this?

Anything can be a weapon, anyone can be a threat. Never under estimate the combat ability of your opposition. He may seem weak and harmless now but even a dead man can carry a few pounds of explosives in his gut or deliver a decisive blow by rotting away in your water supply.
