Default Significant FPS drop when zoomed in

When I am zoomed in my FPS drops a lot , like iam facing something with 35 FPS zoom in and it will drop more than half, what could be causing it and how do I fixx this ?

Ive got this on yamalia, 45 fps not zoomed, use binocs -> 20 fps, didnt notice If ive got it on other maps

On other maps you probably do not notice it because your FPS is still at barable levels.

Its the grass and trees.

Its been like that for me since .85. If you zoom in on a large amount of static grass or trees, your framerate drops a lot.

Try turning your textures to medium.

Had to turn down my settings as well :/
used to play on high but it is not possible anymore...

Which textures ? Object textures terrain textures ? All of them ?

I had this really bad on Siege at Ochamancheira, but only with the GTLD, it was so bad that when i tried doing the second zoom level my game froze up for a while and PB kicked me for heartbeats stop

On Yamila its down to Deer's use of the old overgrowth fields.

whoa mine is the exact opposite
In Gaza beach, I was lagging like crazy, but once I put on the binoculars, I was fine.
