really? I joined a game and everyone was complaining. I didn't get to leave the main at all... waiting for a while, got bored so I left. Really, they don't spawn back in?
also, I installed part 2, but Mumble didn't get installed? Where can I install it separately? |

Well yeah, major design flaw, vehicles get killed way too fast in some maps, and since their timer is so slow, most of the team gets to wait and tk each other for each vehicle that actually spawns. Not much else to do, so cant rly blame them.

If you lose all of your vehicles too fast, then the other team has the ability to cap out the flag to cause a bleed. If vehicles respawned quickly no one would be able to gain area control.
How about not getting all the vehicles killed? |

That sounds lame, I thought the point was to destroy hostile armor to cause the ticket bleed. If they don't re spawn nobody is going to like that game mode.

How is this different that any other aspect of PR? You grab a special kit, get killed, it gets lost, it doesn't magically become available because you died with it and now you want it. The same should go with vehicles, and I thought Snoogums mentioned that you bleed tickets by capturing points. This isn't a "Joy Ride" game mode, it's just AAS with Vehicles!

Right, so call it what it is, AAS.
Vehicles are fun, I thought this would be PRs answer too the fact that people just plain don't like waiting for 20 minutes for a tank to spawn, not like there's no incentive not to lose it its like 20 tickets when you do. The idea being that your always in a tank and always fighting, your rewarded by not being a complete retard in that you don't die. |

I'm all for limited spawntimes for special assets -- aircraft, helicopters, tanks, etc -- but IMO general transport vehicles such as trucks and especially low armour, light offensive utility vehicles (Hummers, G-Wagons, etc) should be quite commonplace. They are afterall quite easy to destroy and sometimes you can't simply "not get them all killed" due to the quite unforgiving nature of the game. | |
