You all really need to give the game mode some time.
Had a full 64 server when Muttrah vehicles loaded up last night and I would be pretty sure that the large majority hadn't played VW before so we were all very excited. Everyone got their tanks and rushed out towards the cap, noone took time for strategy or thought on either side. It was a basic tank rush and after 10 minutes the MEC side had 3 tanks remaining. It was only after this that AncientMan, who was in the server, announced the tank spawn time was still 20 minutes. Everyone was shocked seriously expected that the tanks would be on a fast respawn. IMO, since the gamemode basically is just tanks no one can really take it seriously, especially on an urban map like Muttrah. I would like to think that the gamemode can be used just as a nice change of pace inbetween serious maps on PR and would reduce the spawn time on tanks and up the tickets to compensate for the vehicle losses. tldr? From what I've seen, noone takes VW seriously and there will always be tank rushing, game mode should accommodate this attitude. |

This sentence is the single worst piece of design advice I have ever see, anywhere, for any game, on any platform. PR should never be adjusted to accommodate shit and/or stupid play. There will always be noob tubing, instaproning and ramborushing. PR should accomodate this features of vBF2. See where you went wrong? |

why can't all the tanks lost (on both sides) as soon as a flag is capped?
That way, the surviving team (the one that capped) can be ahead of the game and move on to the next flag, and reinforcements arrive from both sides from way back in the main? |

I'm not saying that the entirety of PR should accommodate tank rushes all I'm saying is that in VW (and I am refering specifically to Vehicle Warfare) this could be a way to develop the game mode into something fun. But hey, I've only played one round and it was just an idea from my experiences. As the gamemode is played more everyone will get a better idea of what to do and how to play. | |

If the tank respawn is 20 minutes, people wait 20 minutes for a tank regardless of how well they were looked after, simple as. Unless there are a fair few more tanks then there are 2 man crews, or the amount of time the vehicle is kept intact is factored into how long it's gonna take for the next one to respawn, then it's gonna be dull. Even if you play well inevitably some poor sod is gonna have to be the one that ends up getting nailed and waiting round, even an entire team flanks, uses cover, communicate between themselves etc one of them is gonna be the first to go down, and in all likelihood that will be fairly early on in the game.
Obviously it can't be an instant or near instant spawn because of the whole AAS premise, but 20 minutes is pretty silly. End of the day noone will play this gamemode in the current setting unless your alt tabbing to look at bloody youtube videos or something in your off duty moments, once the novelty of having an entirely tank based gamemode is gone it's not gonna be played. |

I like the Idea of instead of capping flags it is just tanks vs tanks like slayer and having fast span times (5 minutes)
it would be great if they had an air map like that |
