The old training was mostly to learn how to keep control of the helicopters and jets in extreme conditions, like avoiding friendlies bombing you, helicopters ramming your tail, AA constantly locking you up, extremely low flying. Yes, it definitely did not look very nice, but it was extremely effective at making someone learn to fly and practicing AA in Opfor vehicles of all kind (good ol' days of trying to use the BMP autocannon to take out jets and helos
Infantry training was a waste though. That needs a separate map. In the end, it was training, but for just learning to land and take off meant a local server. The online ones were something unique though. |

I say teh incorporate training in co op so that when you fly you have something to shoot at that doesnt shoot back or perhaps as farther away you fly the harder it gets.
inf training can be set in a place far away from flying I was thinking of having specified areas like air vs air practice air vs ground air support and etc |

like people are saying...
combine the two modes. bring back training mode in all its glory of infinite tickets and instant respawn and how the vehicles and choppers were.. but with bots and instant building of FoBs of co-op. |

Training will be brought back in the future, just not in the asshat way the past training server was. Sorry guys the Death Match fast spawn is gone.

But yes, ragers regularly gathered there to teamkill by dropping bombs on parked airplanes the runway and being tards. I assume if 3 friends met on many of the empty Kashan 64 servers, for lase/bomb practice it was good. It was one server though, but I can see how the devs dont want a gamemode breeding PR ragers. | |

I like having a training mode. It may have been a DM fragfest to some people but I used that to my advantage. It was helping me to learn to fly the helicopters properly, avoid AA, and dodge missiles. I would load up training mode on a local server and practice flying one helicopter over and over and over again.
Loading up muttrah on a local server is completely different. I was using it to practice flying the littlebirds through the city and as soon as I lost both little birds I had to spend a great deal of time loading it up again. |

I liked training mode because it helped me brush up on my flying skills. The helicopters in Co-op mode fly different.
