Post Multiple Asset Squad System

Well, you gotta have what you need to make the job done..

MASSive attack often require massive forces, and how do you get more force? With more firepower!

Naming a squad multiple assets is good, BTR/LOGI work great, HUEY and only HUEY is a must, squad maximum wise speaking, yea that's another post..

but Cavalry would mean, 1 armor(light armored transport & Tanks, 2 drivers) and up to 4 foot infantry, and for them, armor is a very valuable support as well as foot soldiers are a very good "live information flow" for tank drivers..

that would be, failsafe speaking, INF/TANK or INF/APC or INF/BTR you would see..

Because a BTR or APC or TANK, is better off, when protecting AND being protected by a squad on the ground...

Yes, like on MUTTRAH, BTR/APC need to be together to defeat the enemy, but see, what happen, most of the time, is a non-stop battle between those 2 forces, when in fact, both factions light transport should avoid contact unless necessary on others light transport.

Having the APC/BTR on 2 (and 3 on Muttrah) different squad means, most of the time, increase interaction and gameplay, because both apc/btr just stick together anyway but they are what they are meant to be, transport, working more closely with squads, providing more covert as they receive more live update of targets...

I even say APC/BTR stick more together since they are afraid to loose eye sight of each others. And they keep their focus on providing covering fire for foot soldiers, providing quick transport for troops, and above all, they run less often into ambush if the squad do his job to be around it. What do they do when they go in a city, they walk around the thanks and APC, they covert each other and that's what you want to do in PR.

That'll be all, thx

He's debating the merit of having armour with an infantry squad or alone.

I have noticed when assets are in the same squad support is so much easier and better, but ofc in Muttrah for example if the MEC APC's don't work together they die.

So swings and roundabouts really, the obvious and best solution is to use Mumble SL channel to have direct comms to the armour squads.

I do agree with your general staement that armour should work with an infantry element, plus if the inf squad has a HAT kit thi may well save the armour in a battle.

So mate the next time you take armour on Muttrah or Kashan go somewhere with lots of Mumble, like TG, and try out close support with you as SL in the appropriate channel.

yeah mumble in 0.9 will save my sanity I hope!

But despite the fact that I focused on armor, my point was really to point out before anyone would cry in a server that multiple asset squad are good. Even having 3 heavy asset in 1 squad if it's possible.
